Inexpensive, Good Quality Lipsticks for $1.99 each. Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks Review and Swatches

Vamp it Up, Mauve Outta Here, Just Peachy, Think Pink, Pinkerbell

I got these at my local Rite Aid, the original price is $1.99 a piece but you can always wait for a 40% off or a Bogo free sale and it would be even more better. I chose all creme shades, or maybe all of these lipsticks from this line are creme finish. Glide on smoothly, full color and last roughly 3 hours on me without eating or drinking. These can also double up as a cream blush because of the smooth consistency.

Swatches

Vamp it Up 919B - Deep plum with a lot of purple

Mauve Outta Here 907C- Muted pink orchid (great for this years pantone color)

Just Peachy 903C- Peachy coral with some pink

Think Pink 901B- Light pale baby pink

Pinkerbell 968- Bright flirty bubble gum pink

NYX Comestics Combo Makeup Set

I saw this gift set at T.J.Max for $10!!! This was a total steal, so I had to pick this up. This set contains a eye liner, lip liner, lip gloss, a pair of lashes including glue, and two single eye shadows. There was some hit and misses in this set tho, this is what happens when you get things in bundles and on sale, but there are somethings in this set I would use everyday and is still worth the $10.

Here are the original prices of each product
Long Pencil Eye - Discontinued but I assume around $3.50
LipLiner Pencil - Also Discontinued, should also be $3.50
Mega Shine Lip Gloss - $5.00
Fabulous Lashes & Glue - $4.00
Eye shadow singles - Repackaged, should be $4.50

Long Pencil Eye in LPE01 Black
I used this to line my upper lash line, it doesn't glide on that smooth nor much color comes off. In this picture, I overlapped the eyeliner like 2x to get this opacity. I tried using it on my waterline, it applied a bit more easily, but it just smudges away very quickly.

Smudge test
left line - line build up,                             right line - one stroke
So I swatched the eyeliner on my hand then I waited for like 10 minutes to set. I swiped my hand over it with fair amount of pressure, it just smudged. Probably not really gonna be using this very much.. No wonder they discontinued it ..

Lip liner in 847 Latte
This glides on pretty smoothly, I enjoy the texture but the color is just so deep and it has a sheen to it. I probably use this as an eyeliner because its so dark.

Not so appealing ehh.. makes the lips look like foil.

Mega Shine Lip Gloss in LG154 Ice Princess

The packaging is so cute, the top has a cute bow on it. This shade is a very sheer hot pink so it makes your lips quite natural with a nice shine on it. This gloss smells like cherry starburst. It has the staying power of a typical lip gloss, around an hour it would be gone.

Here is a swatch. Looks pretty alone.

Single Eye Shadows

These eye shadows are pretty good, very pigmented and not that much fall out. Both are shimmery but no glitter, which I enjoy. But this "Deep Purple" looks like a Greyish taupe. You can't really see the shimmering white, but its a very nice highlighting color. I use this in the inner corners of my eyes and a dab on my cupids bow.

e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

This eye shadow palette retails for $6 on the e.l.f. cosmetics website, but I always wait for a sale to order, so you can practically get it for $3 if you use the 50% off studio coupon and get free shipping when you order $35. This palette comes with a built in mirror that has the length of the whole palette and the width of 2 rows of eye shadows, includes a dual ended sponge applicator in the space. The space is big enough for you to put like 2 thin eye shadow brushes in there to travel with.

The quality of these eye shadows are pretty decent, I find these even better than those 88 palettes that those online retail cosmetic brand sells. This is the Everyday palette and there was also a Bright and Natural one, this one seems to have the most variety in colors and textures. The quality of each shadow isn't really consistent, I can tell that the brights aren't as smooth and creamy as the shimmering neutrals.

The first row is a bunch of neutral browns.

Second row have a mix of cooler browns and warmer browns.

Third row are greens, silvers and gun metals.

Last row are your pop of color.

Sigma P86 DUPE?!? Precision Beauty Eye Shadow Brush

frontback
I saw this brush hanging there at TJMax for $4.99, it reminds me of the Sigma P86, the precision tapered kabuki. This has a wooden handle, with a very sturdy matte pink ferrule, and synthetic bristles. I use this mainly for concealer underneath the eyes because of the precised shape. I can't say that this is a dupe for the P86 because I don't have it, but this works great for concealer and contouring.

Here are some close up of the bristles, you can see how densely packed the bristles are.

Benefit GoodTime Gals. Is it worth your money? Posietint, girlmeetspearl, "thatgal"

Benefit GoodTime Gals

2.5mL Posietint, 7.5mL girlmeetspearl, 7.5mL "that gal"

Usually Sephora would always pull that trick on you and put some small goodies in on those shelves where you line up to check out, I saw these there and thought it seems like a handy thing to try do I picked it up for $15.
Posietint cost $2.4 per mL, so this Posietint is worth $5.76
They sell this sample size for $8 individually
girlmeetspearl cost $2.5 per mL, this tube alone is worth $18.75
"that gal" cost $2.64 per mL, so this tube is worth $19.73.
But they also sell this alone for $8 on their website.

Posietint
Not blendedBlended
This is a very pretty pink color for people with fair skin tones. I love how this is not just thin like the Benetint, this has the consistency of a thin nail polish. It looks very natural on my lips. When I swipe this on my cheeks, it looks so pretty, gives the same effect like you're blushing because of the cold winter. This does stain tho, and you have to work it fast or else you'll end up with streaks on your face. I'm thinking of purchasing the full size.

GirlMeetsPearl
DropBlended
It comes out the tube a very pale nude pinkish color concentrated with gold shimmer. When I blended it, it is actually just nude with very tiny gold shimmer. This feels very thin, consistency of a gel lotion, very blendable and not drying to the skin. But I don't really like the color cause its too warm for me, I prefer highlights more of a silver or pink base. Good for people with warmer skin tones that like that warm golden glow.

"that gal"
Well.. this primer is meant for brightening, but I really can't tell the difference. Comes out a baby pink color and blends to nothing. I notice my foundation and concealer applied a bit smoother but not much of a brightening effect. This also spreads nicely on the skin and mattifiies the areas around my nose. The smell is very pleasing, it smells similar to baby shampoo. I guess this product is alright, but I wouldn't pay $29 for a face primer that just mattifies and smells nice. Too expensive and not so special, okay product.

Inexpensive, Cute, and Good Quality Wet n Wild Makeup Brushes

Wet n Wild Makeup Brushes

So Wet n Wild came out with new makeup brushes at the drugstores!!! I saw a total of 4 brushes, teal bristles eye shadow brush, yellow bristles foundation brush, pink powder brush, and the angle blush brush is the same color as the eye shadow one. I only picked up two because the other two didn't look so promising and the other two were $2.99 each . These were only $.99 and looked like these would perform better. The packet is resealable so very eco-friendly.

Wet n Wild Eye Shadow Brush
Very sleek and sturdy handle, the handle feels very similar to the e.l.f. studio brushes. Matte black handle with a glossy ferrule, and the handle prints the brand name and the brush name. This is a pretty dense eye shadow brush, great for packing on only powder eye shadow on the lid because it is made out of natural bristles. The bristles are soft enough to dab and sweep, but if you were to use the tip to place eye shadow on the crease perpendicular to your lid, it will feel a bit pokey. I really don't need this brush because I have like 10 other brushes that can do the same, but the color of the bristles just made me buy it. Its so cute.

Wet n Wild Foundation Brush
These bristles are synthetic, soft and pretty sturdy. I used this for concealer and spot treating foundation. I used dabbing motions to blend my concealer and foundation because I feel like this brush wouldn't be able to really buff or sweep thick consistency products. But it does a good job dabbing away thin liquid concealers and foundations on precise areas on the face. This brush is relatively small, like 2/3 the size of a regular foundation paddle brush.
