April 2014 Ipsy bag's theme was Beauty Rocks, the bag is a dark navy purple with a large record on it. The material outside is water proof and this inside just smells a little like a brand new umbrella. In my opinion, this is a pretty large bag and very nice to hold things in because of the shape, its nearly like a square. That makes it easy to fit things into it, narrow or wide.

April 2014 Ipsy Bag. Total of 5 items.

The first thing that was inside my bag was this travel size Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Black Velvet. This claims to be waterproof and create blended-out or rich dark lines blacker than black. When swatched on my hand, it was creamy, soft and opaque, but on my eyelid I didn't really feel like it glides on effortlessly.
The left is when I smudged it out with a brush, the right is one stroke. After 5 mins, this set really nicely. I rubbed it and it didn't budge, but on my eyes its a different story. This didn't glide on as smoothly as I imagined, for a expensive prestige brand eyeliner that costs $20 for the original, I was expecting a lot from it. It smudge after like 8 hours on my eyelids, and because it was so soft, the tip broke on me when I was using pressure to create a bolder line on my eyelid.
The full size costs $20 for a .04 oz liner, so this is about 75% of the full size. This pencil alone is worth $15.

My second item is a full size Tinted Lip Balm in Acid Pink. This product claims to not smudge or need retouch as the day turns into evening. I find that claim quite iffy, that claim can be from like 9am to 6pm or 3pm to 6pm depending on what they mean by "day". Also claim that this is infused with waxes that conditions the lips. The color pay off is very impressive tho, and great packaging and design with the brush.
The brush is very sturdy and the bristles are synthetic, making this easy to apply the lip balm or other things on the go for touch up. This brush can be used for eye shadow, eyeliner, lipstick, brow powder and many more.
This is called a "Tinted Lip Balm" but I don't really find this so moisturizing on my lips, this feels like a very pigmented lipstick. Don't get me wrong, I love this product because of the full color pay off, sleek packaging and this shade is lovely, a bam in your face kind of shade that I always wanted to try.
Left is the swatch on my hand and right on my lips. Just because I said they were not moisturizing doesn't mean they are drying, my lips were just dried. I recommend putting on a lip balm before this if you have chapped lips like me, makes applying it even more easy and smooth. After eating, drinking and wiping my lips, I did see some color transfer but it was only a bit. This wore on me for like 4 hours with the eating and drinking but this left a stain after.
And I would consider this brand a high end brand because this tinted lip balm retails for $19.

My 3rd item was a mousse eye shadow called White Gold from City Color Cosmetics. This claims to be smooth, creamy, and provide a beautiful gold sheen to eyes or cheekbones. Can be used as an eye shadow base or a highlighter.

This feels like a paste, I didn't find a comfortable way to use this product yet. It looks gorgeous in the packaging, a nice pearly white with gold shimmers. But when blended out, the white is gone and what is left over is only chunks of visible gold shimmers (picture below). Can't use this as a highlighter because its too warm. Also, after blending it out, I feel like its not tacky anymore, this may be good but not great as a eyelid primer.
This item retails for $3.99

My 4th item was actually the Benefit Lollitint, I was so happy when I checked my glam room and found out I was getting this. This product claims to be smudge-proof, smooch-proof and stains for a pop of color on the lips and cheeks. This was very hype because of the new pantone color of the year, and this tint matches the color radiant orchid very well.
I don't like the applicator, the brush is too small for the cheeks and the lips. I can make it work on the lips, if I miss a spot I can go back into it but not a lip brush I prefer.
Left is two layers or it on the back of my hand, I blended it extremely quick because it will streak if you don't move quickly. To use this on my cheeks, I swipe it on my natural goat hair angle blush brush and then apply it on my cheeks from the brush. On lips (right), I just use the brush in the tube. Doesn't really show up so much on my lips, just made it a bit darker mauve, not much of a purple or orchid color.
Benefit Cosmetics sell this deluxe sample size on their website overpriced. I say overpriced because it is not worth as much as the original. This amount of product is only worth around $5-6, but they charge $8 for individual packaging.

My last item are these Kiss Looks So Natural eyelashes in Pretty, I would of preferred Sultry or Shy because of the lengths. These claim to be lighter than other leading brand eyelashes and I do agree with them. This pair I specifically got seems be very big and too long for my taste, but they are still very light on my eyes, WHAT IS THIS MAGIC?
It comes with a very nice glue, the glue is originally white with some opalescent color to it. While it is drying, it turns blue and then clear. It also has a very easy to use applicator, not like those squeeze tubes.

This is how they look like when I applied them with the Urban Decay Black Velvet.
From the side view, you can clearly see how large they look. But they flare very beautifully, I'm just skeptical about me wearing them outside because people will obviously know this Asian girl does not have these long eyelashes naturally.
These also retail for $3.99

Overall, this bag was a total steal. The items in the bag added up to about $50 and I didn't even count the bag itself and the shipping. Some people say how they don't get the items they want, but I guess they can just retake the quiz a few more items. I was so eager for my first bag, I swear I took a quiz every time I went on ipsy while I was on the waiting list. Talking about the waiting list, I was on it for about 3 weeks and I clicked on someones referral link and was then a subscriber.
